Phase 1 runs April–August 2026. Roughly 10–12 hours a week, working through Science & Technology Studies (STS), the political economy of algorithms, and critical race theory applied to technical systems.
The plan is designed for working professionals in tech who have lived experience with the systems they want to analyze — but no prior academic background in the social sciences or humanities required.
Every text, every reflection, every question is documented publicly on Substack as it happens. Not polished essays — thinking out loud, with citations.

This space
The goal is intellectual rigor, not hustle content. We read carefully, write in public, and hold each other to the material. If you've spent years inside technical systems and felt the gap between how they're described and what they actually do — this is for you.
Right now it's small and intentional. The study is in Phase 1. As the reading deepens, the community grows with it — book clubs, open source projects connected to the research, and eventually a space to road-test ideas before they become talks or writing.
