What we do

Fractional CTO

Senior technical leadership without the overhead. From architecture decisions and team structure to roadmap clarity and engineering culture — embedded where it matters most.

Engineering leadership Cloud architecture Team development

AI Governance & Operational Ethics

An independently developed ethics framework for organizations navigating AI deployment at scale. Moves from diagnostic to implementation — practical, documented, and built to hold up.

Ethics framework Policy design Risk assessment

K–12 AI & Ethics Education

Technical curriculum for students who deserve to understand the systems shaping their world — not just how to use AI, but how it works, who it serves, and what questions to ask of it.

AI literacy Algorithmic thinking Ethics by design

Practitioner first. Strategist second.

SixOneOne is founded by a senior technologist with nearly two decades building production systems, leading engineering teams, and incubating AI products at scale — most recently as Director of Innovation at a global data infrastructure company.

The practice is built on the premise that good technology strategy and responsible technology design are the same thing, and that the missing link is usually someone willing to hold both at once.

Technosocial Study

I build technology for a living. I study it because we deserve better from it.

A self-directed, public study at the intersection of critical theory, algorithmic governance, and the politics of technical systems. Phase 1 runs through August 2026 — roughly 10–12 hours a week, with a reading list built deliberately across disciplines and perspectives.

The work is documented on Substack as it happens. Not polished essays — thinking out loud, with citations.
